Since El Arte de Alejandro Colucci , the book published by Dolmen Books in 2011, Alejandro broadened his repertoire to the creation of illustrated books.

In 2015, Easton Press commissioned Alejandro to create the visuals for a deluxe edition of the 1886 classic gothic novella by Robert Louis Stevenson: Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde.

In 2016, the renowned spanish horror & fantasy publisher Valdemar commissioned Alejandro to illustrate Carmilla and other Female Vampire Tales, containing short stories by Edgar Allan Poe, Sheridan Le Fanu, F. Marion Crawford, Manly Wade Wellman and Théophile Gautier.

In 2017, Ediciones B once again required Alejandro's art to return to the universe of author John Katzenbach, for whom he had already created several covers of his books. This time, to celebrate the 15th Anniversary of his emblematic novel

The Analyst, in an illustrated edition.

«Alejandro Colucci's illustrations convey both mystery and beauty.

In a deep and original way, they not only capture the concept of the story, but also the very heart of it.»
